Watercolor Day 1

Happy Monday! It's a happy day here because Watercolor for Card Makers Online Card Class began. WooHoo! Thanks to a drawing by Jean Manis, I won a spot in the class, and that makes me very, very happy and THANKFUL!

For today's card, I followed a video by Laura Bassen. She put some Distress Inks on an acrylic block, spritzed it with water and then stamped her page. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Festive Berries, Spice Marmalade, Wild Honey, Shabby Shutters, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean for my card. Once it was dry, I die cut LOVE and added it on top, just below the stamped words "Lots of." I also added Christmas Red Stickles to the heart inside the LOVE. Finally, I plopped all this on top of Turquoise Sea Cardstock from Gina K Designs. That has to be one of my very favorite colors!

Hope you like today's card. I am enjoying this class already and still have lots of practicing to do with the homework.  Stay tuned for more! I appreciate your visits and comments very much, so keep 'em coming and I'll do the same for you!

  7. Way cool. Love those vibrant colors, that drift off, into the blue green color.... and, that white sentiment, it's perfect.
