Love That Ice Cream!

Hello! Hope everyone is having a good weekend! The sun is out but the temps are low. Brrrrr!

Today's card is for The Outlawz Saturday Paper a la Mode Challenge. It's all about pink, red and white. The image is from A Day For Daisies, and I used dies for the sentiment and the hearts. The image was colored with Copics. I found the background paper in my stash.

Thank you for stopping by today! I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

Valentine

Hello friends! How are you today? I decided to put together another card for the Just Us Girls Photo Week #277 Challenge. I am also entering this card into the Time Out Challenge #23 where it calls for a Valentine card and/or a card that includes hearts, AND the Simon Wednesday Challenge, Have A Heart.

Simon Says Stamps sent me these puffy hearts with an order that had been delayed. I thought they would go well on this card. I had seen a card similar to this on Facebook, but it's long gone by now and I don't have any credits for it. Anyway, the doily and ribbon is from my stash, and the sentiment is from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life. I enjoy adding doilies to cards, and I think the black and white gingham ribbon goes well with it and the red hearts.

Thank you for stopping by today! I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again soon!

XOXOX

Hello everybody! I'm here with another card I created using the Cool Cats die from Top Dog Dies. Gerry, from Vegas Gems, mentioned in the comments with my first Cool Cats card that they would make a good Valentine's Day card. So I got to work and here it is!

I used glitter paper by DCWV and cut out little hearts to go on the black cats. I also used my XOXO die by Simon Says Stamps for the sentiment. The photo frame was cut using die by Sizzix.

This card will be entered into the Just Us Girls Photo Week Challenge #277. You can see all the hearts in the photo, so I thought my card would work. Even a touch of silver was used to go with the silver heart in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again soon!

Rainbow After The Rain

Hello! How's your day coming along? It is about to pour the rain outside, so I've been busy inside creating cards. What better way to spend a day?

I saw the Challenge at Mod Squad is to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) someone, so I am posting this card I CASE'd from Gina K at Gina K Designs Stamp TV. You can see her video and card here.

I changed a few things, like using a different oval die and also not adding a border with the sentiment. I thought it would compete or conflict with the fancy oval, so I left it off. The embossed background piece of cardstock in Ocean Mist is a gift from a friend, who sends me Happy Mail every now and then. She's a gem, for sure! You've seen me mention her before on other posts. She's a good friend and a good person.

The image is from Shine On Stamp set and the sentiment is from Warm Spring Wishes, both from Gina K Designs. These had been part of Stamp TV kits, which come with cardstock, patterned paper packs and embellishments such as ribbon and brads. You should look into them if you're not familiar with Gina K. Her products are of the best quality you can buy, and the kits are a good deal.

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again real soon!

Cool Cats

Hello again! I'm back already with another card. After reviewing the blog of Darnell Knauss (djkardkreations.com), I realized I had some more stuff that I could use for a post in her NBUS ("never-before-used-schtuff") Challenge. The deadline is January 22, 2015, so I got to work quickly and created this card.

I actually had three products that were never used before: Instant Photo Frame by Sizzix, Cool Cats dies by Top Dog Dies, and Purrfect Pair stamps by Mama Elephant. These were a lot of fun to work with, and I'd never tried any of them before. I enjoyed putting the three together for a card I could post for this Challenge.

I die cut the cats, the tag, and the photo frame before stamping the small images on the card. Finally, I added the ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by today! I appreciate your comments and your visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon~

Smile

Hello! I hope your week has started off well. It's a pretty day, with warm temperatures and bright sun. I cherish these days!

Today's card is created with Mama Elephant's Up and Away stamp set. I absolutely LOVE these stamps! They're so much fun, and you can create a variety of cards with them.

With Judy Woodland's encouragement, I am entering this into the Just Us Girls #276 Color Challenge where the colors are to be green, orange and blue. This card fits that bill!

I found a stack of patterned paper in my stash, matched it with some cardstock and layered it onto a card base. Then I stamped the images onto white card stock and colored it with Copic markers. I created a banner for the sentiment with some of the same layering piece.

The inside of the card says, "Sending Smiles Across The Miles." I am thinking of sending this to my son in California. I rarely get to see him, but I think of him all the time. He's working a very busy schedule, and I think the card will brighten his day. Of course, I hope his wife will like it, too!

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again soon~

Simple Flowers

Hello everyone! How's your day coming along? I hope you're staying warm and dry. It's very cold here in North Carolina, but not as cold as some of you have it. I'm just not used to it anymore.

Today's card is one I enjoyed creating using Simple Flowers stamps from Gina K Designs. A dear, dear friend sent me the set, and I fell in love with it immediately. Thank you, friend! You know who you are but I know you don't want your name mentioned, so I won't go that far. Anyway, she also sent me this very beautiful pink cardstock, and I already  had the black and white ribbon (both from Gina K Designs).

I stamped a circle image on the pink cardstock, added the ribbon, then punched out another stamped image and layered it on top. The border of flowers was also included in the set, as well as the sentiment. I love the simplicity of this design and plan to replicate it with other colors.

Thank you for stopping by today! I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

Valentine Thanks

Hello! Hope you had a good weekend! The sun has been shining, but the temperature has remained a little low. Not bad for winter, though.

This card was created for two challenges: Mod Squad Challenge and Stamp TV Mix It Up Monday Challenge. Mod Squad asks for Thank You cards, and Mix It Up Monday asks for 4 x 4 Thank You cards. This one fits both.

I used a heart stamp from Tami Mayberry's Happy Hearts stamp set at Gina K Designs. The paper was something I won from a previous challenge, and the sentiment is from a die by Simon Says Stamps.

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon!

Fabulous Frame

Hello! I'm finally back with another card. It's been a busy couple of weeks but yesterday I was able to take the time to create a new card for this site.

One of the gifts I purchased for myself over the holidays was Melanie Muenchinger's Fabulous Frame, Fabulous Frame Fillers, and Fabulous Holiday Fillers from Gina K Designs. Melanie has provided several videos giving instructions for some awesome cards. This one really struck a chord with me, as I love the little flowers.

For this card, I used Honey Mustard cardstock from GKD and stamped in brown ink from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life. The ink was so juicy I struggled with keeping it neat. The butterfly is stamped over one of my ink spots, in fact, but you don't really know that from looking, do you?

I am joining the NBUS (Never-Before-Used-Schtuff) challenge at djkardkreations and Mix It Up Monday Challenge at Gina K Designs Stamp TV.

I appreciate you stopping by today. Your comments and visits are very welcome, and I hope to see you again real soon~

Love Is All You Need

Hello Everybody! Happy January! I hope you're having a good weekend. The day is going by fast, but I'm having fun creating cards for the next holiday.

I saw CAS(E) This Sketch #104 is having a challenge that would go well with this card, so I'm entering! It's a rather simple design...one that I can handle, that is! This card is made totally of die cuts from Papertrey Ink. The inside is stamped with "is all you need," also from Papertry Ink.  Love that saying! The sentiment could be used for anything, including Valentine's. I'm thinking of sending it to my family for my Thank You card. They sure showered me with love during the Holiday Season, and I'm very thankful for that.

Hope you'all have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again soon.

Gold

Hello! I hope you are having a Happy New Year! Hard to believe it's 2015 already!

My card today is for the Mix It Up Monday Challenge at Gina K Design's Stamp TV. We are to use some Gold in our card, so that's all I used! The stamps were gifts in gift bags and winnings from another challenge. I absolutely love both of them, and I thought they'd look pretty in gold on brown cardstock. I'm always in need of Sympathy cards and the images seemed to work well for such a case. I layered the brown onto ivory cardstock before putting on a heavy-weight card base.

Hope you're having a good day. I sure appreciate you stopping by. Your comments and visits mean the world to me, and I hope to see you again real soon!
