Valentine Box Card

Hello everybody! WooHoo! I'm back already! It hasn't been so long since I last posted a card on here. Can you stand it?

A friend of mine from Gina K Design's Stamp TV asked that I post this box card that I recently created. So, Lisa, this one's for you!

The card was created for another dear friend of mine who has been sick for quite a while. I thought a box card full of hearts might brighten her spirits a little.

I used the Box Card Die, Bears2Stamp stamp set, and the Bear dies that go with it for this box card. Everything is from Stephanie Barnard's The Stamps of Life. I enjoy using her stamps and dies that go together, and that die for the box card really makes it easy to create something like this.  The heart on the side was cut from a different heart die. I'm not sure where it came from, because I just found it in my stash. (I think I need a different way to store dies so I can keep track of the company who makes them.) The patterned paper is also from The Stamps of Life. The bear was colored with Copics. You can't really tell, but he's holding a heart.

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

3 Hearts Love

Hello everyone! How's your weekend been? I decided to participate in Stamp TV's Mix It Up Monday Challenge, due TODAY. Yikes! I just barely made the deadline.

For my card, I used a set called Triple Play Frame illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K Designs. The Challenge was to use the same stamp three times on your card, so I used the pretty heart with the flowers. The sentiment is from Melanie's Fabulous Holiday Fillers. I added the heart border and a few more butterflies, and I was done!

Before I go, I want to give a big shout out to my friend, Kevin, who designed the Ground Hog's banner at the top of this blog. He also created one for Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter, plus one for in-between holidays. I appreciate this very much, and I enjoy changing the banner for each season. He's taught me a lot about computers, for which I'm also thankful.

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

Happy Birthday!

Hi everybody! Surprise, I'm here again already! This year I will try to post more often than last. Too much time was passing between posts toward the end of the year, and I want to do better. You are important to me, and I certainly don't want to lose touch.

This Birthday card was quick and easy to create. The patterned paper, stamps & flower dies are from Stephanie Barnard's The Stamps of Life. I love her (fairly) new Birthday pack because it's full of fun, bright patterned paper. I enjoy the variety of colors on this particular paper. After die cutting the flowers, I added an enamel dot in the center for contrast.

Another goal I have for 2017 is to get back to entering more challenges. I really slacked off on this last year, so it's time I jumped back in and participated!

This card will be entered into ModSquad Challenge, which is asking us to post "Anything But Christmas" cards. I'm also entering this into Seize the Birthday Challenge, which says "Anything Goes" -- I can do that!

For some reason, I don't have a badge for Mod Squad, but you can click on the link for either one of the Challenges.

Before I go, I wanted to share a picture with you of my 2016 Christmas gift from my family. I was totally surprised to see this huge box arrive at my door and find it to be a Yamaha Grand Piano Keyboard! I played piano most of my life but had to sell my piano a few years ago. It really made me sad to see it go, and I haven't been able to play since. My family recognized this and brought music back into my life. I'm so thankful!

Happy New Year to you! Keep music in your heart and love in your soul. With that, you'll have a wondrous 2017!

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and your visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~
