Skyline at Sunset

Hello my friends! How are you today? I hope you had a wonderful weekend and got some scrapping or cardmaking in. The sun is currently shining, and it's a beautiful Monday here in North Carolina.

I saw a card similar to this at Lori McAree's Smiling While Stamping called Summer Lovin' that I absolutely loved. This card is my attempt at CASing her, but it's not really a CASE because the layout is different. Hers was landscape style and went across the page but had the still had the black piece coming down. I went Portrait style.

Inks used for the background include Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Orange Marmalade and Wild Honey. I simply sponged the inks on the background and added the City Scape Die cut (from Savvy Dies). Obviously, this is very clean and simple card!

Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

  1. Oohh I love the background colours, they are blended so beautifully. I've just received my first distress inks and need to spend more time playing with them so I end up with something like this (instead of the blotchy mess I had on my first go!). The black skyline looks perfect against the backdrop too. Fabulous!

    1. Shona, if you can, get the new round distress inkers. They are so much better than the rectangle ones and will help you get a smoother background.
