OCC Holiday Style Day 11. Finally!

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been in Boston visiting my brother. I am posting this picture so you can see us after the food had been prepared. (Somebody -- me -- forgot to move the vegetable broth before snapping the picture...) He's not a professional chef, but the white jacket was a gift to him since he cooks like a gourmet chef. That turkey was so moist and good, along with everything else we had. I gained a few pounds on that trip! See my chubby cheeks? I may have snitched a piece of turkey...
Hope you'all had a good Thanksgiving, too! Now it's time to move forward with more Christmas cards.

Thought I should post this one before it gets any later. The card was my homework for the last day of Online Card Classes Holiday Style lessons. I finished it right before I left for Boston but didn't have time to post it before today.

I followed a video lesson by Kelly Latevola using a Tim Holtz Scribbly Christmas stamp set for a "Classic and Elegant" styled card.

I stamped a variety of the trees using different shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks and heat embossed some on top in gold and silver. Over that, I placed a piece of vellum that had the sentiment die cut and then heat embossed in gold. Finally, I added a few tiny green gems from Hero Arts for the finishing touch.

This wasn't a difficult card to make. Probably the toughest part was getting very tiny dots of liquid glue behind the sentiment for the vellum to stick.

I appreciate you stopping by today. Your comments and visits mean the world to me! Hope to see you again real soon ~

P.S. If you ever see a promotion for an Online Card Class, I encourage you to look into signing up. I always learn a lot from these classes, and have never regretted taking them. There are several to pick from now that you can take on an Independent basis. Check out www.onlinecardclasses.com if you're interested. You won't regret it!
