Flowers and Bees

Hello everyone! How are you today? I'm sorry it's been so long since my last post. Life has been busy! A dear friend of mine who has been staying with me had a sudden illness and I spent some time helping him. He is doing fine now, which is good news. Sometimes when my heart goes toward something or someone in a situation like that, I lose my mojo for creativity for a while. In time, however, it always comes back, thank goodness!

I saw a card similar to today's posting on the Paper Blossoms site and fell in love with it. So, combining two of my stamp sets, I gave my best attempt at CASing the card. Using a set by Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life and a Stamp TV Kit by Gina K Designs, I die cut the flowers & leaves (STV) and then stamped the bees and their hives (SOL). Finally, I die cut and layered the "hello" (also from SOL) and added it.

That's it! Once I got everything lined up that I was going to use, the card only took about 5-10 minutes to compile and finish.

Thank you for stopping by today! I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again real soon!

  1. What a lovely spring-y card!

  2. lol I don't think I have ever been able to make a card in 5 or 10 minutes. This is really neat, love your design! Glad your friend is feeling better too!

  3. Your card is beautiful

  4. Aren't you a fabulous friend!! So glad to hear he is on the mend. I haven't made a card myself for a week, been so busy catching up with all my emails and life itself, my mojo completely disappeared. About to try making a card now, so wish me luck!! Your card is so pretty and just love the flower stamp, it has so much detail and is gorgeous in that pink colour. Hope you have a chance to create some more during the week!!

  5. So happy your friend is better. And I know what you mean about no Mojo when you are having stress, I'm the same way. This card is fantastic, I especially love those little bees. They are so stinkin' cute. Very sweet card!

  6. Sharon, this is so, so pretty. And those little bees are just as cute as can be. I absolutely love the Birthday Blessings stamp set. So glad your friend is feeling better. I'm sure he's thankful for your kind and loving care.
