Hello everybody! How's your day coming along? I hope you're having a good weekend.
Today's card is all about going back to school. I know it's been a couple of weeks since school started, but I just now got my new stamp set, called Class Act, from Reverse Confetti. For the card, I stamped the school paper and the sentiment but die cut the apple and its pieces. Finally, I added the little hearts and some twine.
This was so much fun to make! Nothing like a brand new set to play with! My sister is a school teacher specializing in Special Ed, so I plan on sending this card to her. She's got her hands full and could use a boost!
Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon!

Lavender and Lace
Hello my friends!!! How are you today? It's pouring down rain outside, so it's a good day to be crafting.
Today's card is entered in the Mod Squad Challenge called Lavender and Lace. I've used Stamp TV's Kit called Flowers and Frame by Gina K Designs. I love this kit that's full of two-step stamps. The embossed background is a piece that was sent to me by a dear friend. The border die is another item from Gina K Designs. I added a little bling and twine that's from my stash.
The ink and cardstock are in lilac...you guessed it...also from Gina K Designs!

Beautiful
Hi everybody! Hope your weekend is going well. It's a pretty day here in North Carolina.
Today's card uses a digital image from Morgan's Art World called Winter Fae. I put together this creation for Outlawz Paper a la Mode Saturday Challenge called "Just Around The Corner" where we were supposed to decorate the corners. This gave me the perfect chance to use my Lace Corner Dies I bought from Gina K Designs. I colored the image with Copic markers and used a sentiment from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life.
This was a fun card to make, and I hope you like it too.

IBS Inspiration Challenge 97
Inspired By Stamping August Inspiration Challenge 97
Hello! How's everybody doing today? I came home from church, got on the computer and found an email from Inspired By Stamping about their Inspiration Challenge 97. I love the colors in this challenge, and I knew right away I had a polka dot stamp I could use. The rest is history! I put together a card right away, and I hope you like it!
(I don't know how my computer managed to get the script on the left side of my page, but I'll go with it!)
My card follows the first picture, and I used several different products from various companies. The leaves, flowers and sentiment are from Gina K Design's Flowers and Frames Stamp TV Kit. I love this kit, as it comes with dies, too! The cardstock, ink and ribbon are from Stampin Up! Ink colors are Lucky Limeade and Pistachio Pudding for the leaves, and Calypso Coral and Marigold Morning for the flowers. The twine is Pistachio Pudding, too, obviously from SU! The gold embossed dots are from a stamp set by Sweet Stamp Shop called Drops Background, although I believe the set is now retired. I layered the card with cardstock in the same colors as the ink.
Hope you like today's card! Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

Bird Crazy
Hello everybody! Hope you're having a real good day. It's the weekend already, and it's raining! Good day to be crafting!
Today's card was created with Tim Holtz' Bird Crazy stamps. Love Them!!! This was my first card created with these stamps. I'd practiced with a few, but none made it to the card stage. Different backgrounds, different birds. The options are endless!
For the background, I used Salty Ocean, Shabby Shutters and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks, also by Tim Holtz. I decided to use some of what I learned in OCC Background Check class! The sentiment is from Dylusions. I stamped and then cut it out, line by line. After adhering, I added some bling here and there.
I think I'll try this card again some time in the near future and use the Distress Inks in a different order, putting the green on the bottom. I also would like to try a different color for the bird.
Bird Crazy dies would've been used except when I received my order, I was missing the die for this particular bird! Got two of another one but missing this one. Go figure! I'm returning them to Scrapbook.Com and will receive a full refund. Of course, I ordered them again (but from a different place because Scrapbook.Com was out of stock). They were very easy to work with--both the dies and Scrapbook.Com!
Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

OCC Background Check.Days 5 and 6
Hi everybody! I'm so excited! It's here--my final day of homework! Yay!!!
Online Card Class Background Check has been hard to post because we just did parts of cards each day. I didn't want to post a card with just a background, so I've waited until the cards were done to post.
This card I'm showing you today has to be one of my favorites. Sure hope you like it, too! I followed the steps shown in a video by Laura Bassen.
Using a stencil from Simon Says Stamps called Screened Leaves, I covered it with white embossing paste. Since the paste was white, I used green cardstock called Jelly Bean from Gina K Designs. This was the first time I used the stencil, and I was very happy with the result. Finally, following lessons on the last day, I added the sentiment on a piece of vellum and wrapped it around the sides of the cardstock. That completed my card.
Thank you for hanging in there with me this week while I followed the steps in the class. Just like always, I've learned a lot from yet another Online Card Class. You just can't beat them!

OCC Background Check Day 4-6
Hello everybody! How was your weekend? I spent Saturday trying to catch up on homework for Online Card Class Background Check. This card is a combination from Days 4, 5 & 6.
This is one of the most CAS cards I've ever made, although it was a little bit of work. Kristina Werner showed how she embossed a background and then colored it with Distress Inks. I decided to try the same thing but with a different embossing folder. With the embossing, the card showed a cupcake in the bottom right-hand corner and dots all the way around the card. Trying my Smooch inks for the first time, I barely touched each dot with blue, then outlined the cupcake in red, blue and gold Smooch colors before adding a touch of gold Stickles. After layering onto blue cardstock, I stamped the Happy and die cut the Birthday. I then added some blue bling for the final touch.
I'm not real happy with this card, but it's okay considering all the steps it took. I will continue to look for an embossing folder with flowers that might work better.
Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again real soon.
