Altenew
Hello! I just received a new stamp set and dies by Altenew called Hennah Elements, and I'm in love with them! They're so much fun to play with, I just had to create a couple of cards right away.
The set comes with flower designs as well as some whimsical images. I saw a video online (sorry I don't have the link) where Catherine Pooler created a card similar to these. She gave me the idea of the black and white Washi Tape. I cut the front of the cards just about 1/2 inch short so the tape on the inside of the cards would show. The border pieces on the front are from Gina K Designs.
The flowers and leaves were watercolored. What fun that was! I couldn't stop once I got started. Once I was finally done watercoloring, I added Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. That doesn't show up very well in the pictures, but you get the idea.
Thank you for stopping by today! I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

Gorgeous cards - really beautiful color choices!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. I have wanted this set from when it was first released. I don't know how much longer I can hold out seeing beauties like this.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! I thought I had seen the one that looks similar to Catherine's. Good job!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you love the stamps, Sharon, you worked wonders with them and showcased them so perfectly on these cards! And you not only winked, you glossed as well - whoot!! Enjoy your day! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI LOVE both these cards, and I LOVE that stamp set. I have something similar from Paper Wishes - You have inspired me to use them. Colors are gorgeous, and the black and white border is really effective. Stunning cards!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful Sharon. Love the classy black & white border and how you shadowed the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI have this set too and just love it!! This looks incredible and like the way you did the washi tape along the bottom. And beautiful colouring of the flowers too. I have a feeling we will be seeing more of these from you over the next few weeks.......
