Hello Everybody! How's your day? I hope you're able to enjoy some sunshine. It's just about Spring, for sure!

I received this new stamp and die set called Eggstra Special Easter by Lawn Fawn, and I just love it! First thing I did when it arrived was stamp and color with my Copic markers. Then I started punching polka-dotted butterflies with my new Martha Stewart punches. I've been wanting them for a long time and finally got them.

This card was created with the intention of adding it to the Lawnscaping Challenge that required dots and/or stripes, but I didn't get it posted in time. So here it is, posted purely for your enjoyment. Hope you like it!

Fabulous Flower

Hello! How's your day coming along? Our weather is warming up, some days warmer than others, but you can tell Spring is just around the corner. YAY!

This card is for the Mod Squad Challenge where it asks for Flowers to be the main focus. Since I used a stamp set from Melanie Muenchinger, I get a bonus entry. That's fantastic, since I love her Fabulous Frames sets such as the one I used for this card. I really like it when you stamp the flower in a soft color and then hit it with a bold one for the main focus. I'm beginning to really like pink, too.

Step-Up

Hello! How are you today? Hopefully you are enjoying warmer weather by this time. I know it's been very pretty here in NC lately, although rain is on its way.

I'm happy to post my first attempt at a Step-Up card, created with Sizzix dies from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life. I was curious to see what all the fuss was about when I saw several of these in her Gallery. Now that I have the dies, I understand! It's lots of fun putting together various flowers, words and vines. The dies include sizes that work perfectly for the layers and smaller panels. I can't remember exactly how many dies are included, but there's a bunch! The paper on this card is also from SOL.

I Knead You!

Hello everybody! How's your day? We have warm temperatures here in North Carolina, but lots of wind is bringing in cooler weather along with harsh rains. I don't look forward to THAT at all!

First of all, thanks to my friend, Kevin, for the St. Patty's Day Banner! I enjoy adding the changes throughout the various seasons. Thanks to him, I can do that.

I just received this cat stamp from Stamps of Life, and I LOVE it! I also got the dies that go with it, which helps when making cards such as this. I added some ribbon I had in my stash after using my Copics around the edges of the image. It's layered on top of paper also from SOL.

Dots

Hello my friends! How are you today? I hope the weather has calmed down wherever you live. Here in North Carolina, the sun is out but the temperature is low. I'm ready for March and warmer weather, how about you?

This card was created using some new products. The background was stamped with Sweet Stamp Shop's Drops Background. I used ink from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life for the Strawberry Red on top and the Blueberry Blue on the bottom. The paper used for the die cut sentiment is also from SOL, but the die itself was from Stampin Up! (Hello You Thinlets by Sizzix). I love these sentiment dies because they aren't too thin or too heavy. They stick well if you use Sizzix Adhesive Sheets behind the die when cutting, like I did for this card.

To be honest, I saw a card similar to this on the Sweet Stamp Shop site and decided to try it, so this is actually a CASE.

LOTS and LOTS of Love!

Hello everybody! I'm sorry it's been so long since I've posted a card. Life has kept me busy with car trouble and a root canal. Then I slipped on some icy steps and fortunately landed on my rump where there's plenty of padding. :) Oh, yes, I've been having FUN...NOT! It's all over now, thank goodness, so I'm here with a card, FINALLY!

I have to admit this design is not an original by me. I saw this on YouTube (can't find the link now) and fell in love with it. With two sons living clear across the country, I like to send them mail just to remind them their Mom in North Carolina loves them a lot. This card seems to fit that description.

The stamps and dies are from Simon Says Stamps Sending Happy Thoughts set. Because I like to send cards to my sons, I felt this was the perfect set for me, and I love every bit of it. The stamp set is full of sentiments such as "Thinking of You," "Happy Mail" and "Sending Lots of Love, Prayers & Love and Happy Thoughts" that would obviously make any recipient thrilled to get some mail. This set is obviously very popular, as I had to wait several weeks to receive it from back order. I'm so happy it's here now!

For this card, I die cut the word "Sending" in foil paper (a gift from a dear friend) that had adhesive backing. That was a lifesaver, because that word comes out so delicately I would've never been able to glue it. The envelopes were all fussy cut and paper-pieced. I used new paper from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life 6 x 6 patterned paper pad which has a lot of fun patterns. Finally, I stamped a few red hearts around the sentiment just for fun.

CASE

Hello! How's your day coming along? It's a bright, sunny day here in North Carolina, but the temps are still low and it's COLD! That means it's a good day to be crafting!

My card is a CASE of the second card above by Kylie Purtell for the Time Out Challenges. As soon as I saw the picture, I decided to enter. For my card, I used some paper from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life. I just love these pinks! The flowers are from a jar of Prima Flowers that I sprayed with Inkadinkado's Rasberry and Recollections Simply Pastel Pink Shimmer. After they dried, I added a spritz of Sparkle by Imagine Crafts. Finally, I added greenery from a Sizzix Flowers, Branches & Leaves die. The tag and sentiment are from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life.

This card took a lot of steps, but I really enjoyed creating the various layers. Embossing the background added an extra touch before adding the tag with all the greenery and flowers. Finally, the sentiment only took one stamp, and I added a piece of hot pink on the inside before layering it with white.

One More Cat Card

Hello! How is everyone today? I'm so glad you're here to see yet another cat card. I can't get enough of these cat dies from Top Dog Dies!

This card inspiration came from the actual Top Dog site. The paper and ink match perfectly because they're both from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life. I LOVE how you can hardly tell what's stamped and what's die cut because all the colors match so well...BUT, I'll go ahead and tell you.

The circles were stamped, using various stamps from Stamps of Life. The fish, ball of yarn and food dish were die cut. Isn't that neat? When people see the actual card, they have to look twice. I used a dark orange beaded square for the cat to sit on, and I added small pearls for the eyes of the cat.
