Be Merry!

Hi everybody! Yes, this is a Christmas card. I decided to jump in and get started, since I should probably create about 50 cards between now and New Year's. I've already posted my Fall cards, so that's my clue to begin my Holiday cards.

Today's creation will be entered into the Hero Arts Holiday Cardmaking Challenge. I enjoyed looking at all the cards that have been entered and suddenly realized I had this wonderful big background stamp. It is called Hero Arts Triangle Tree Cling Stamp, and I love it!

This was my second attempt at this card. The first time, I just used green and white. As soon as I downloaded the picture, I realized it was too plain and needed a touch of bling. So, I remade the card and added a layer of red behind the image panel and then put a few tiny, red sequins beside the sentiment. I still think it could use more, or something like sequins that are a little bigger. Maybe my third attempt?

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things, and it's called Joyous Christmas. I love the big, bold style of the words.

Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

Halloween

Hello everybody! Long time no see! Sorry I've been missing in action lately. I've been working on a scrapbook, which is a surprise for somebody, so I can't say much about it here. Never know when they'll decide to take a look at my blog. Anyway, it took about 2-3 weeks to finish, and I didn't make any cards during that time so I could get the scrapbook finished. You'll see it soon!

This card is my post as a Design Team member at Outlawz Saturday Paper a la Mode Challenge. Go take a look and join in! The focus is Halloween for this week. Not hard!

The image is from A Day for Daisies, the Sponsor for this week's challenge, and is called Little Pumpkin Witch. I love it! I added Black Stickles to the mouth, nose & eyes of the pumpkin. The card was colored with Copics, and I used chalk for the background. I added the Double Scalloped Border Die I purchased from Gina K Designs. All this was layered onto black cardstock, then a piece of orange glitter paper before finally putting it onto a white card base. That's it! A fun card.

Hope you'all have a wonderful day! I appreciate you stopping by. I enjoy your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again real soon!

Bee Square

Hi everybody! How's your day coming along? I live in North Carolina, and we've been swamped with rain, with more coming. Ground is soaked, streets are flooded. It's a good time to stay inside and CRAFT!

Today is World Cardmaking Day, so I created this square, 4 x 4 card using the new Stamp TV set from Gina K Designs called Autumn Wishes. I've been playing around CASing (Copy and Share) several cards using browns and reds, so for this card I went with blues and yellows just for something different.

After finishing this I realized Gina had a Challenge to use this set for an Autumn card. Well, this doesn't qualify for that since I used "summer" paper and colors, but I like the square card size.

I colored the images with Copics and had a hard time with my brush tip getting in between the fine lines on the bee. Maybe with practice I'll get better! The ribbon is from Stampin Up!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope everyone is staying safe and dry. Your comments and visits mean the world to me, and I hope to see you again real soon ~
