CASE My Own!

Hello everybody! How are you today?

This card is one of my favorites. (Do I keep saying that?)  The stamp set is called Christmas Joy and it is from Gina K Designs. I gold embossed the sentiment and the image. The background is embossed with Swiss Dots and a ribbon was added to go behind the image. All this was layered onto Cranberry Cardstock and put on a pure luxury white card base.

If this looks familiar to you, it's a CASE (copy and share everything) from one of my own cards from last year. I just love it and had to have one this year but on different colored cardstock. I'm happy with the result. That image is wonderful!

Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again soon ~

Christmas Penguin

Hello everybody! Here's another Christmas card for the Mix It Up Monday Early Christmas Challenge at Gina K Design's Stamp TV. I will also be adding this to the Mod Squad Challenge where we're supposed to post something using one of our favorites. Well, this Penguin is definitely one of my favorites! In addition, with these colors, I'm adding this to the Inspired By Stamping Inspiration Challenge #87.

I love this Penguin. It's from last year's release at Gina K Designs, and he's one of my favorites for the year! I heat embossed him after stamping him in VersaFine Black ink. Then I colored the hat, scarf, beak and feet with Copic Markers. I added Diamond Stickles to the ball on the end of the hat and also the snowball. I also added white dots on the hat and scarf with my Signo White Pen, which I love. The ribbon was in my stash, although it may have been from Gina K Designs, also.

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again soon!

Tree

Hello everybody! How's your day coming along? I'm here with another Christmas card for the Mix It Up Monday Challenge at Gina K Design's Stamp TV.

I used an image and sentiment from Season's Greetings stamp set by Gina K Designs and heat embossed it before adding a ribbon and layering onto patterned paper.

Early Christmas!

Hello! How is everybody this glorious day? I'm so glad the sun is shining and the weather is (somewhat) warm. Makes me happy!

This card was included in the Mix It Up Monday Early Christmas Challenge at Gina K Design's Stamp TV. I felt the word "Celebrate" could cover the entire holiday, including New Years. I got the idea from the I'm in Haven blog where I fell in love with the design. I really like this color palette of red, turquoise and white. I think I might use it for most of my Christmas cards, although I still have quite a pile of that red, white and green I started out using a couple of months ago. We'll see. Things change, right?

I used Gina K Designs products for this card. The ink is Turquoise Sea, Ocean Mist, Red Hot and Innocent Pink. The stamp set is called Lots of Lines and is one of my favorites. I love the large style of the words. The snowflakes are from various stamps sets from Gina K Designs. I just went through about 5 or 6 different stamp sets and pulled out any snowflakes I saw. I think it turned out to be a good mix.

Here's another card I creating using the same colors. I love those snowmen!

I'm so happy you came by today! Thank you for your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again soon ~

Recessed

Hello friends! How are you today? I hope you are able to get outside and enjoy some good weather where you live. It's bright and sunny here in North Carolina today. Love it!

Despite the warm weather, I decided to bring out some more Christmas stamps I purchased last year. The set used for this card is from Gina K Designs and is called Season's Greetings. I love the little Santa, the Snowflake frame, and the style of the sentiment. This is one of my favorite cards, and I CASEd (Copy and Share Everything) it from last year! I changed the way I added the sentiment, and the use of glitter is different.

The green snowflake frame was stamped with Memento's Northern Pine ink, and for the sentiment, I used Gina K Designs Red Hot to match the red paper. The Santa circle is on a piece that's recessed from the back. I colored him with Copic markers and then used Wink of Stella Glitter Pen on his beard, hat, belt and shoes.

Breast Cancer Awareness 3

Hello! Hope you'all are having a good week.

This is the last card I'll post in the Breast Cancer Awareness group, but I wanted to show you this wonderful stamp from Gina K Designs called You Go, Girl! I feel anytime we're dealing with a critical illness, we must fight with all we're worth to keep it from overwhelming our lives.

I entered this card in Gina K Designs Stamp TV Stamp Out Cancer Challenge and also in Tuesday Throwdown #217 Challenge, called Awareness. This Challenge is for awareness of all types of illnesses.

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again soon!

Regal Flip-It

Hello! Hope you'all are enjoying the weekend. The weather is gorgeous here in North Carolina; I'm looking forward to spending some time outside (whenever I'm not inside creating cards!).

I got a new Regal Flip-It die and stamp and just had to try them. The patterned paper is from Gina K Designs Garden Tour package. I used ink from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life. I love this patterned paper! There are a lot of colors in it and can go with anything. The Regal Die is one of my favorites!

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~

Breast Cancer Awareness 2

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 for Gina K Designs' Stamp TV Stamp Out Cancer Week of Challenges. Every day of the week will be another challenge, all related to Breast Cancer Awareness. Although the focus is on Breast Cancer for the month of October, this can apply to all kinds of Cancer. It's an ugly disease, and we must do all we can to help fight it.

This card uses an image by Theresa Momber at Gina K Designs called Strength & Hope. It was sent to me by a dear, dear friend a couple of years ago when I was going through surgery for Thyroid Cancer. I had mentioned to her I wanted to purchase it, and the next thing I knew, it was in my mailbox! A true friend, indeed.

Day 2 of this Challenge had requested PINK for the cards. Although I liked the one I created using pink, I also created another one using the same design but with a shade of purple for the background.

I think I like this one a little better. The lavender flowers look better against the pink ribbon, in my opinion, but I like them both.

I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the flower, but you cannot really tell it from this photo. Love that pen!

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again soon!

Breast Cancer Awareness 1

Hello everyone! I hope your day is going well and you are able to get outside and enjoy some sunshine, wherever you are. The temperature has dropped a little, but as long as that sun is shining we can always find some warmth, right?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and there are challenges everywhere to help bring about that awareness.

This card was submitted in the Stamp Out Cancer Challenge at Gina K Designs' Stamp TV. This first one on the list was to be one of comfort, and I find my faith brings me more comfort than anything during times of stress and discomfort. I had never tried this stamp with a pink background, but I think it turned out all right. The stamp set came from Gina K Designs.

Although I am a thyroid cancer patient/survivor, I have several friends and family members who have dealt with breast cancer. Some have survived, others have not. It is a troubling disease, but they are making progress in fighting it with appropriate treatments. With more awareness, perhaps they can make even more progress and it can become a survivable disease.

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your comments and visits very much, and I hope to see you again soon ~

Sailor Boy

Hello friends! How are you today? Hope you're enjoying your weekend. It's another beautiful day, warm and sunny but not too hot. Love it!

This card was created for The Outlawz Saturday Paper a la Mode Challenge. As a design team member, I post an inspiration card every Saturday, along with the other Team members. This is one of my favorites. I love the eyes in that sweet child! The first thing I did was create a background using several Distress Inks from Tim Holtz. The sentiment and the die cut ocean waves, sunshine and clouds are from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life. I thought the waves were significant for the little sailboat. Both images, from Scrapbook Stamp Society, are colored with Copics.

Give Thanks

Hello everybody! I'm taking a break today from Copics class to show you a card I created using my new Stamp TV kit called The Simple Things. This has to be one of my favorites!

Right away, I CASEd (Copy and Share Everything) this card from Tricia at Gina K Designs Stamp TV. I did everything close to hers except the colors of ink for the brick background. I used inks from Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life in Mustard, Pumpkin and Celery. Love that pumpkin color! I added a button from my stash using GKD ribbon and gold cord. I could hardly believe I got that gold cord wrapped around the ribbon and tied in a good bow! WooHoo! That's a first for me!

The picture was taken outside on my deck. It's nice to have good weather again!

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments very much, and I hope to see you again real soon ~
